Legal
Terms of use
The agreement between you and this publication.
Last updated 19 August 2026
Who you are agreeing with
These terms are between you and [to be completed before launch: registered legal name of the publisher], which publishes Our Elected EU News. Using the site means accepting them.
Accounts
Reading does not require an account. If you create one, keep your credentials to yourself, give us an address you actually control, and tell us if you believe someone else has access. You are responsible for activity under your account. We can suspend an account that is being used to attack the service or to harass people.
Subscriptions
A paid subscription removes advertising and is billed in advance through our payment processor for the period you choose. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Prices can change with notice before your next renewal.
If you are a consumer in the EU you have a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase. Asking us to start immediately means that right ends once the service has been fully performed, and we will pro-rate what has been used.
Our content
Articles, headlines and original graphics belong to us or our contributors. You may read, link to, and quote a reasonable extract with attribution. You may not republish whole articles, or use the content to train a machine-learning model, without written permission. Underlying facts and public documents are, of course, nobody’s property.
Your content
Anything you send us — a tip, a correction report, a file — stays yours. You give us permission to use it for reporting purposes. Do not send us material you have no right to share.
Acceptable use
- No attempts to break, overload or circumvent the security of the service.
- No automated bulk collection of the site beyond what our robots rules allow.
- No using the service to harass, defame or impersonate.
Good-faith security research is welcome and covered by our security policy, not by this clause.
What we do not promise
We work to be accurate and to correct errors quickly — that process is described in our editorial standards — but the service is provided as-is. Nothing here is legal, financial or professional advice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not responsible for what is on sites we link to.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do, and material changes will be announced on the site. These terms are governed by the law of [to be completed before launch: governing jurisdiction for the terms], without affecting the protections you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
